      Avon & Somerset/Devon & Cornwall Constabularies

      Securitas has worked alongside the Avon and Somerset and Devon and Cornwall constabularies since 2008.

      The overall objective is to release Police officers and Police staff back into front line duties and avoid the need for tying up these valuable resources guarding major crime scenes.

      Securitas provide officers to guard crime scenes. The work is carried out on behalf of the Major Crime Investigation Units (MCIU) of Avon and Somerset and Devon and Cornwall constabularies where a serious crime has been committed; crime scenes have related to offences including homicide, rape and major drugs raids.

      Efficiency is ensured through compliance with Police process. Securitas and the constabularies work together to ensure training is relevant and appropriate. Securitas liaise directly with the MCIU's (Major Crime Investigation Units).
