Founded by the Duke of York in 2014, Pitch@Palace gives Entrepreneurs the chance to meet key people who can help make their business dreams a reality; including CEOs, influencers, mentors and investors. 20 budding Entrepreneurs had the opportunity to pitch on the day, with three selected to progress further.

Securitas is responsible for the University of Hertfordshire’s day-to-day security and has provided a range of protective security services since 2015. The dedicated Securitas Team worked in partnership with the university and local Police to make all necessary preparations in the run up to the visit. On the day itself, mobile security, electronic CCTV and on-site Security Officers supported local Police to ensure the event ran safely and smoothly.

Dale Murphy, Head of Security & Resilience at the University of Hertfordshire commented: “A royal visit of this nature requires a lot of planning and hard work. During his visit, the Duke of York wanted to visit both campuses so it was important to have the right resources and teams in place at both sites. Securitas’ unique approach to our university security made it a pleasure to manage this visit, ensuring the event ran smoothly and was headache free.”
