KidsOut works tirelessly to bring joy to children facing significant challenges, these children have experienced violent, emotional, and even sexual abuse and arrive at a refuge with nothing. Through initiatives like Giving Tree, the charity provides toys, fun experiences, and educational opportunities to children who might otherwise go without. Their efforts help restore a sense of normalcy and happiness in these young lives.
Supporting the Giving Tree initiative
We proudly joined KidsOut’s Giving Tree again for the fourth consecutive year having donated over 1000 gifts previously. As the awareness of this incredible organisation has grown in the business, we expected this to be our best year yet. Our teams from offices across the UK have been collecting toys, making donations, and purchasing gifts to ensure every child has something special to unwrap at Christmas. Beyond this financial support, this year we were honoured to also be able to have 12 our team volunteer their time to pack 609 gift boxes with the donated toys destined for the children this Christmas.
"Being part of the team that helped with KidsOut for the day really highlighted to me the need that the organisation fill” said Kieron Doyle, Protective Services Development Manager.
“Behind each box that is sent out is a story of vulnerability, not only for the child that the gift is for but also for the affected family. Knowing that as part of this initiative I can have a positive impact on someone's life, even in a small way, was very heartwarming and fulfilling".
Enhancing security for KidsOut
During our visit, KidsOut shared a critical challenge: the need for improved security to protect their precious donations. Understanding the importance of safeguarding these assets, we stepped in to cover the cost and installation of a new intruder alarm system. This investment ensures that toys and resources remain secure, allowing the charity to focus on their mission of helping children.
