Message from Shaun Kennedy
As many businesses are preparing to return to work, I am writing to update you on the steps we are taking to help keep our people, our clients and our communities safe.
As you may be aware, from the outset of the pandemic, we have closely monitored updates from the World Health Organisation and GOV.UK regarding the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Practical actions we are taking
As our officers interact with clients and the general public at sites across the UK on a daily basis, it is very important they understand what they need to do to avoid any transmission risk.
From the outset we have worked closely with our clients to proactively manage the risk of infection at all our sites.
We are continuing this work, in line with the latest UK.GOV guidelines, to complete COVID-19 risk assessments in line with HSE guidance and in full consultation with our people and union representatives.
Securitas managers are sharing the results of these on-site risk assessments with our officers and implementing all necessary steps to mitigate the risk of transmission, including following the guidance on hand washing, hygiene measures and maintaining 2m social distancing where this is possible.
Our commitment to you
As your business prepares to return to work, we believe the measures we have put in place will safeguard the health and wellbeing of our people and minimise any risk to our clients.
However, if we are advised that any of our officers may have come into direct contact with a confirmed case and that they may have been exposed to infection, we will advise you so that contact tracing can take place and the appropriate tests undertaken by anyone who may have been exposed to infection.
Likewise, where you have personnel who may have been exposed to the risk of infection, and they work in close proximity to our officers i.e. undertaking searches, first aid, temperature checking please advise your local account manager immediately so that we can take appropriate action.
Helping you keep your people and visitors safe
We’re proud of the steps we are taking to protect the health of our people, our clients and our local communities, who all remain our top priority as businesses start to return to work.
And we will continue to follow guidance from public health officials and government agencies, and implement their recommendations, as we navigate our way through the next few months.
Your Securitas account manager will be happy to discuss the steps you need to take to get your business back up and running, from advising on your COVID-19 risk assessments to implementing simple measures to help maintain social distancing.
We are also here to help you with our latest intelligent solutions which range from AI-driven occupancy management services to access control tools.
On a personal note, I will continue to keep you up to date with the steps we are taking to safeguard our people, our clients and our communities across the UK.
Yours sincerely,
