      In his day job as a team leader, Martin oversees security staff and on-site systems for a prestigious client office in London. However Martin is also one of our highly trained Emergency Fire Crew Capability (EFCC) providing contingency support to fire services when required.

      Martin explains “The EFCC training takes place at the Fire Service College in Gloucestershire and is a fantastic opportunity to upskill.”

      "I thought the course would be mainly classroom based but that isn’t the case at all. Over 12 days, we were put in challenging situations where your physical and mental capabilities are challenged to the maximum.”

      "Working at Securitas has provided a unique opportunity to be part of the EFCC. It is a great experience and the instructors are extremely professional and well-organised.”

      As a qualified EFCC Martin will refresh his EFCC training every year.
