Security Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team in Hemel Hempstead, United Kingdom. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, visitors, and assets.

• Control access and egress to the facility, ensuring only authorized personnel enter
• Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, including first aid situations
• Conduct regular patrols of the building and grounds to identify and address potential security risks
• Adhere to and enforce Standard Operating Procedures 
• Manage interactions with contractors and visitors in a professional and customer-focused manner
• Monitor security systems and surveillance equipment
• Prepare and submit detailed incident reports
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
• Participate in ongoing security training and stay updated on best practices

Qualifications

• Valid SIA license
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Have a five-year check able employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or full and part-time education during that period.
• Good transport links or driving licence
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on professionalism
• IT literacy, including proficiency in using security management software
• First aid certification
• Demonstrated knowledge of security protocols and procedures
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
• Keen attention to detail and strong observational skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Experience in a similar security role preferred
