Job Description
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team in Hemel Hempstead, United Kingdom. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, visitors, and assets.
- Control access and egress to the facility, ensuring only authorized personnel enter
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, including first aid situations
- Conduct regular patrols of the building and grounds to identify and address potential security risks
- Adhere to and enforce Standard Operating Procedures
- Manage interactions with contractors and visitors in a professional and customer-focused manner
- Monitor security systems and surveillance equipment
- Prepare and submit detailed incident reports
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
- Participate in ongoing security training and stay updated on best practices
Qualifications
- Valid SIA license
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Have a five-year check able employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or full and part-time education during that period.
- Good transport links or driving licence
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on professionalism
- IT literacy, including proficiency in using security management software
- First aid certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of security protocols and procedures
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
- Keen attention to detail and strong observational skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in a similar security role preferred
